Meet
Dr. Jack Mayhew
Dr. Mayhew grew up in Magnolia,
Arkansas. He received his Doctor of Dental
Medicine Degree with honors in 1997 from the University
of Louisville, Louisville, Kentucky. He directly
entered endodontic training. In 1999, he earned
a certificate in Endodontics and a Masters Degree
in Science from the University of Louisville.
Teaching and clinical instruction
were highlights of his time at the University of
Louisville. Dr. Mayhew has published several
research articles in the Journal of Endodontics on
post retention and nickel titanium files, which are
a vital part of his practice today.
During his education, he received
many awards for his academic achievement and outstanding
clinical skills. All were an honor to Dr. Mayhew,
some of the most prized awards were: The Delphi
Society, Outstanding Achievement in Science; Beta
Delta Fraternity, Outstanding Achievement in Oral
Medicine and Oral Pathology; The International College
of Dentists, Dean’s Award, Southeastern Society
of Prosthodontics, Excellence in Prosthodontics;
Achievement Award in Endodontics; and Membership
in Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.
Dr. Mayhew has truly found his
calling in endodontics. For six years, he enjoyed
treating patients from Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. His
referring dentists gave him the great honor of being
named, Texas Super Dentist. He has been working in Colorado Springs fro over three years and has been honored with the "5280 Top Dentist Award".
Moving to Colorado in 2005 was
a childhood dream, now fulfilled. Colorado Springs
is now home for him and his wife, Deadra and two
sons Nolan and William. Outside of Endodontics,
Dr. Mayhew treasures time spent with his family.
